There has never been a shortage of unique and eye-catching sights to see on Central Avenue and the stretch through Nob Hill boasts some of the very best.
“Being on Route 66 is a source of pride for me,” said Trish Bryant, owner of Octopus Banana—a shop that just celebrated one year of operation. While you won't find any real-life bananas or octopi when you walk through its doors—the name comes from Bryant’s fondness for the juxtaposition of the two words—it’s pretty much a guarantee you’ll find something interesting, eclectic and, likely, nostalgia-inducing.
