Astro Zombies to Celebrate 26 Years in Nob Hill

Since opening day in July of 1999, Chris Losack has been walking through the doors of Astro Zombies, first as a customer and now as the owner of this Nob Hill mainstay.
What began as a shop that carried action figures and rare, hard-to-find VHS rentals like Godzilla and Eraserhead, within two years, it was crowned Albuquerque’s Best Comic Book Store in the Weekly Alibi. “Some shops were known to gatekeep the good stuff,” said Losack. “You had to be ‘in’ to have access to it. This shop isn’t like that. We support anybody and everybody. Punk rockers to comic book nerds rock out and nerd out just as hard.”
